Much like having a child, bottom surgery is not going to fix every problem in my life, and is going create some new ones. But at least in my case, it is going to help me feel like my body is mine. I’m tired of embodied ambivalence and it way it erodes my health and self-worth. I can’t wait to feel like my body is something that I want to share and honor.
